Terms of use

The French version of these terms prevails.
1. Purpose
Sésame Éclair lets you send confidential information (password, key, file) through an encrypted link that self-destructs after reading or at a chosen date. The service is free and requires no account.
2. How it works and its limits
- Content is encrypted in your browser. KAYZEN cannot read, recover or restore it.
- A secret that has been read the planned number of times, has expired, was destroyed by its sender or was locked after too many wrong codes is permanently deleted.
- Anyone holding the full link (and the code, if any) can read the secret. Choosing the recipient and the channel is your responsibility.
- Size, duration and rate limits apply to keep the service healthy.
3. Prohibited uses
- Distributing malware or running phishing campaigns;
- Sending illegal content, including content infringing the rights of others;
- Disrupting the service, bypassing its limits or trying to access other people’s secrets.
Any reported link that is clearly abusive may be destroyed without notice. Since content is encrypted, moderation only applies to reported links.
4. Availability
The service is provided as is, without any guarantee of permanent availability. Do not use it as the only place where information is kept: a secret is meant to disappear.
5. Liability
KAYZEN uses state-of-the-art measures to protect the service. It cannot be held liable if the link is sent to the wrong person, if the sender’s or recipient’s device is compromised, or if the service is used in breach of these terms.
6. Personal data
See the privacy policy.
